YouTube has no download button for Shorts outside its Premium offline mode, and that copy never leaves the app. Clipzy saves the actual file to your device:
- On the Short, tap Share, then Copy link. Links look like youtube.com/shorts/… or youtu.be/….
- Paste the link into the box above and tap Analyze.
- Pick a quality and tap Download Video, or tap Audio for an MP3.

Shorts Quality, Explained
Shorts are vertical, usually 1080×1920. Clipzy names each quality by the shorter side of the picture, so a 1080×1920 Short appears as Full HD (1080p), the same label as a horizontal 1920×1080 video. Each quality tile shows its file size before you download. Shorts are short, so even the top quality is usually a small file.

Repost Your Own Shorts as Reels and TikToks
Shorts, Reels and TikToks share the same 9:16 frame, so a downloaded Short is ready to upload elsewhere with no resizing. Save a Short's Audio as MP3
Tap Audio on the results screen to keep only the sound, or use the YouTube to MP3 converter. It's handy for quotes and voiceovers you want to replay offline.
Why a Short Won't Download
- Private or unlisted-and-removed: only publicly available Shorts can be fetched.
- Age-restricted or members-only: these require a signed-in viewer, so login-free tools can't reach them.
- A channel link: copy the link of the Short itself, not the channel's Shorts tab.
