If a Pinterest video won't download, the problem is almost never the video itself. It's usually the type of Pin, the link, or where you opened Clipzy. Work through these in order.

1. The pin.it Link Doesn't Open the Pin

Short pin.it links occasionally redirect to an error page instead of the Pin. Fix: open the Pin in your browser, copy the full address from the address bar (it contains pinterest.com/pin/ followed by a number), and paste that instead.

2. It's an Image Pin, Not a Video

Some Pins look like videos in the feed but are animated images or still photos. If there's no play button or progress bar when you open the Pin, there's no video to download. For images, use Pinterest's own Download image option.

3. The Video Is on Another Page of an Idea Pin

Multi-page Pins can mix images and videos. Swipe to the page with the video before you copy the link.

4. The Pin Is on a Secret Board or Deleted

Pins on secret boards and removed Pins aren't public, so no login-free tool can reach them. Open the link in a private browser window: if you can't see the Pin there, it can't be downloaded.

5. You're in an In-App Browser

If you opened Clipzy from a link inside Pinterest, Instagram or Facebook, you're in their built-in browser, which often can't save files. Open the page in Safari or Chrome instead.

6. You Wanted the Audio Only

MP3 download isn't available for Pinterest. Clipzy saves Pinterest Pins as MP4 video.

Still Not Working?

Try the same link again after a minute; Pinterest sometimes serves a slow response. If it still fails, send us the link and we'll look at it.
