Maybe you deleted the Facebook app to save battery, you're on a work laptop, or someone sent you a Reel link on WhatsApp. If the Reel is public, you can save it straight from your browser.
Step 1: Get the Reel Link
- From a message: long-press the link someone sent you and choose Copy.
- In a browser: open the Reel on facebook.com. The address bar shows a link like facebook.com/reel/…. Tap the address bar and copy it.
- Short links: fb.watch/… links work too.
Step 2: Paste It into Clipzy
- Open the Facebook Reels downloader in your browser.
- Tap the paste button, then the search button.
- Pick a quality and tap Download Video.
Copy the link to the Reel itself, not to the person's profile or Page. A profile link has no video in it, so there's nothing to download.
Step 3: Find the File
The Reel saves as an MP4 in your Downloads folder. On iPhone, open Safari's Downloads list and tap Share → Save Video to put it in Photos. On Android, it shows up in Files → Downloads and usually in your Gallery.
Want Captions for a Repost?
Tap Generate Captions under the Download button. Clipzy writes caption ideas and hashtags for the Reel, each with a copy button. Only repost Reels that are yours, or that you have permission to share, and credit the creator.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Facebook account?
No. Public Reels can be saved without logging in.
Why does it say the video isn't available?
The Reel is probably shared with friends only, in a private group, or deleted. Only public Reels can be downloaded.
Can I save just the music?
Not for Facebook. MP3 is available for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
